PANEER TIKKA MASALA

Paneer tikka masala recipe:

Learn to make one of the most popular paneer recipes in a restaurant style.This paneer gravy
pairs great with roti,butter naan,jeera rice or plain biryani(biryani rice).Paneer butter masala
and this paneer tikka masala recipe have always been on top at home and among my friends.

If you like to make these paneer tikka in an oven you can very well proceed with the same marination ingredients. For the restaurant style color, I suggest using a good Kashmiri or byadgi red chilli powder. I would not prefer to use food colors.

INGREDIENTS:(240 ml cup used)

200 grams paneer or 1 cup paneer
3/4 cup onions cubed layers seperated
3/4 cup capsicum/ bell peppers (green or red)
3/4 cup chopped tomato (cubes)

marination

1/2 cup of thick curd/yogurt
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
3/4 tbs chili powder
1/2 tbs lemon juice
salt to taste
1 tbs oil (optional)
1/4 tbs kasuri methi/ dried fenu greek leaves

to puree

12 to 15 cashew nuts or 2 tbs cashew paste
1 cup chopped tomatoes
1/4 tbs chopped onion

Gravy ingredients 

6 cloves                          
2 green cardamoms
1 tbs ginger garlic paste
1 tbs red chili powder
3/4 tbs garam masala
1/4 tsp kasuri methi
2 to 4 tbsp of cream (can use cashew milk or almond milk for healthier option)
few coriander leaves chopped
oil or butter as needed

INSTRUCTIONS:

 .First cut all the vegetables and paneer in cubes and keep a side.


 .Take a bowl add thick curd,red chilli powder,salt,kasoori methi powder,lime juice and oil little        mix well then add all the vegetables and paneer mix well.





.Add chopped tomatoes,cashews and onions to a blender and make a smooth puree,Set this aside.


 .Take a wide non stick pan add one table spoon of oil,add marinated paneer and vegetables,
  cook both the sides, once it is done keep a side.
                       

                                               

Using grill:

 .To grill tikka in oven,put them on to skewers alternately paneer,onion,tomato and capsicum.
  Bake in a preheated oven at 220 C for 8 to 10 minutes.you may need to adjust the timing
  as needed depends on the size of cubes and oven too.



 .Take a pan add oil,cloves,cardamom saute for a minute and add onion chopped,salt pinch,turm
   eric,ginger garlic paste cook onions turn little golden brown.



 .Now add tomato pure and cook till raw tomato flavor  is gone,once it is done add water as need,
  bring it to boil,and add coriander powder,cumin powder,red chilli powder, kasuri methi,mix well,
  and let it cook  for 3 minutes.



                     
.Then add cream as needed, paneer and vegetables, garamasala powder and cook for 5 min and  finish it of with coriander leaves.





.Now your tasty paneer tikka masala is ready to serve.

Serving suggestions:

.Serve with roti,butter naan,jeera rice or plain biryani(biryani rice).
