Fish fry recipe:
There are several versions of the Andhra fish fry recipe, but this is how it is done in my family for several decades. This recipe beats all the other recipes that I have tried and tasted, in terms of
taste and effort.if you want you can deep fry it but i don't prefer because i like to eat very less
oil its good for health.
INGREDIENTS:
5 Fish peaces(500gms)
2 tbs Ginger and Garlic paste
3 finely chopped Green chilly
1 tbs Red chilly powder
1 tbs Coriander powder
1/2 tbs Garam masala
4 tbs Rice flour
1/4 tbs Turmeric powder
10 leafs finely chopped Curry leaves
finely chopped Coriander leaves
1 small lemon
Salt to taste
Oil
METHOD:
STEP1
. Add some salt to fish and wash it.Drain water completely.I have use a single fillet weighing
250 grams. You can increase the quantity of ingredients proportionately if you are using
more fish.Do not use too much masala for marination.
STEP2
.Take curry leaves, coriander leaves and green chilly chop finely.
STEP3
.Then take a bowl add all ingredients(red chilly powder, salt, coriander powder, garam masala,
ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder,rice flour,finely chopped green chilly,curry leaves,cori
ander leaves and 1 tbs oil)mix well by sprinkling some water.
STEP4
.Take fish pieces and marinate with above mixture and rest it for 1-2 hours.
STEP5
.Heat a wide nonstick pan and add 2 tbs oil spread along the pan now place marinated fish
peaces and fry on a medium flame. After 3 to 4 minutes turn to other side and then repeat
frying. When it is almost done, add some curry leaves and fry.
Serving suggestions:
Serve with rice as a side dish /chapatti.
NOTE: Adjust the masala to suit your taste.
