INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Tamarind juice
1 cup Tomato paste
1 tbs Cumin seeds
6 Garlic cloves
3 Green chilies
1 tbs Rasam powder
Turmeric powder
1/2 tbs Red chilly powder
Salt to taste
1 tbs Sugar
Oil
Tempering:mustard seeds,cumin seeds,hing,curry leaves.
FOR RASAM POWDER:
1 tbs Cumin seeds
1 tbs Pepper
1 tbs Coriander seeds
1 tbs Toor dal
2 red Chilies
.Dry roast all ingredients and make a powder,you can store
this powder for long time.
METHOD:
1.Crush the cumin seeds and garlic cloves into a course powder
2.Heat oil in a wide vessel and add the mustard seeds,cumin seeds
and let them splutter.Add the curry leaves,hing and stir for few
seconds.
3.Add the crushed cumin and garlic paste and fry well.and add tomato
paste cook it for 5 minutes then add tamarind juice,red chilly powder
turmeric powder,salt,sugar and rasam powder put lid on boil it in a slow flame
for 10 minutes(how much you boil that much tasty rasam you will get it)
finally add cilantro and swtich off the flame now your tasty rasam is ready
4.Serve hot with rice.
