Punugulu can be prepared in two ways
1-Left over dosa batter
2-Normal process
INGREDIENTS:
FOR LEFT OVER DOSA BATTER:
1 cup Dosa batter
1/4 cup Maida
1/4 tbs Baking soda
4 finely chopped Green chilly
1/4 cup chopped Onion
1/4 cup chopped Cilantro
1 tbs finely chopped Ginger
1 tbs Cumin seeds
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Take a bowl add dosa batter,maida,baking soda and salt mix well then add onion,
green chilly,ginger ,cumin seeds and cilantro mix well .Now punugulu batter is ready.
1 cup Urad dal
1/4 cup Maida
1/4 tbs Baking soda
4 finely chopped Green chilly
1 tbs Cumin seeds
1/4 cup chopped Onion
1/4 cup chopped Cilantro
1 tbs finely chopped Ginger
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Sock urad dal for 6 hours and make a fine paste and ferment it for over night
when ever you want to prepare punugulu add maida,baking soda,salt mix well then
add onion,green chilly,ginger,cumin seeds and cilantro mix well .Now punugulu batter is ready.
METHOD:
.For both the batters preparation method is same.
.Hat oil in a pan for deep frying take the batter and make a small dumpling add to the boiling
oil and cook them in a medium to low flame.if u keep it in a high flame inside punugulu does not cook properly.
.Now your punugulu is ready you can eat with peanut chutney.
