SWEET PONGAL


Sweat pongal can be prepared in two ways 1.with  out moong dal,2.with moongal
     Today iam showing with out moong dal sweat pongal,for this i am preparing mudda pappu separately.

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup Rice
1 cup Jaggery
3 cups Water
1 cup Milk
1/4 cup finely chopped Coconut
1/4 cup Cashews
1/4 cup Kismis
2 tbs Cardamom powder
Ghee/Butter
  
FOR MUDDA PAPPU PREPARATATION:

3/4 cup Toor dal,moong dal
Turmeric powder
Salt
   Pressure cook  both dals with,salt,turmeric and water till u get 3 whistles.

                           
METHOD:

1.Heat a pan add ghee/butter ,cashew nuts saute them little bit once it get little bit 
 color add kismis let them puff up and switch of the flame

                                                        
2.Tke a bowl Wash the rice and add 3 cups of water put lid on and cook till the rice 80% done,while    rice is boiling add 1 tbs spoon of butter/ghee 

                                       
3.Then add milk,coconut and cook it for 5 minutes and  add jaggery ,nuts,cardamom powder and    cook it in a medium flame till it come good consistency and switch of the flame.

                         
                                                                  
4.Now your tasty pongal is ready.you can serve with mudda pappu and ghee.
