Pesarattu | How to make moongdal dosa | Green gram dosa recipe

                                 



Moongdal dosa: Pesarattu actually means an attu (crepe or dosa) made from pesara pappu (full moong dal or green moong dal or green gram). Pesarattu is a typical Andhra dish.Basically it is made with moong dal and rice soaked over night.This dosa doesn't need fermentation.It is a lentil based pancake served as a best breakfast dish with coconut chutney.this is a healthy and favorite
breakfast for kids too.Its easy and simple to make.

A simple pesarattu recipe:

INGREDIENTS:(240 ml cup used)

1 cup Green gram/pesalu/moong whole
1/2 cup Rice
1 small lemon size Ginger
2 number Green chillies
1 tsp Jeera
1 small Onion
salt to taste
oil
water

STEP BY STEP PHOTOS TO MAKE PESARATTU RECIPE:

.Soak green gram and rice for 6 hours. Grind soaked green gram and rice with green chilies, ginger,  salt, jeera and onions by adding water little by little till it gets dosa consistency.if we want more crispy dosa increase the quantity of the rice.




.Now take a dosa nonstick pan, heat it and pour a small cup of dosa batter in the middle and spread it.


.Mean while sprinkle some finely chopped onion,ginger,green chilly,coriander leaves after 2 minutes    put upma in this fry it by applying oil on the edge.




.Now your healthy ,crispy pesarattu is ready to serve.


.Serve hot with palli chutney,ginger chutney,coconut chutney and sambhar or with upma.
