Chana/chole masala recipe|How to make chana masala in restaurant style

Chana masala recipe: Easy chole recipe with minimum ingredients ,This chana masala yield one of the most delicious gravy that goes great with roti ,bhatura, noon, poori and even with
plain basmathi rice or variety rice like jeera rice, biryani rice, ghee rice. there are so many ways
chana masala prepared.

This is the one that is our favorite at home and taste like restaurant style gravy,this recipe is very delicious due to roasted onion and tomatoes in it this lends a unique aroma and creamy taste to the gravy.it is a quick and easy recipe good for home preparation with very less oil.

Simple chana masala recipe below:

INGREDIENTS: 
                                                    
.  Chana 250 Grams                                                 
. 1 cinnamon sticks
. 4 cloves
. 3 green cardamom
• 2 tbs chana masala powder
• 1 spring curry leaves
• 1 tbs cumin seeds
• 1 tbs ginger garlic paste
• 4 number chilles
• 1 number lime
• 3 tbs oil
• 2 number finely chopped onions
• salt 1 To Taste.
• 2 finely chopped tomatoes
• turmeric (optional) 1 Pinch.

                                    

 


                          
                      
HOW TO PREPARE CHANA MASALA:

1 tbs cumin seeds
1 tbs coriander seeds
1 tbs amchoor powder
4 cinnamon sticks
1 bay leaves
2 cardamom
5 cloves

STEP BY STEP PHOTOS ON HOW TO MAKE CHANA MASALA RECIPE:


1.Soak chana in water overnight or to cook the same day soak them in warm water for
 at least 5-6hrs.
2.Pressure cook chana and Drain the chana, reserve the liquid

                                

                                     
3.Heat oil in a deep saucepan and add cumin seeds, whole garam masala When they change
 color add chopped onions to it and saute till they are brown add the Ginger-garlic paste
 to it and saute for couple of minutes.

                              

                     


4.Now Add all the tomatoes, greenchilly and Saute till they are soft, then add redchilly powder, salt turmeric powder, chana masala saute for a minute.

                    

5.Add  boiled chana to the mixture and mix gently so that chana are properly coated in the      mixture.              
        

6.Add the reserved water depending on the gravy you need, check and adjust the seasoning.

7.Simmer the stove and cook covered for 5-6 minutes and garnish it with cilantro leaves
8.Serve it with poori or chapatti with sliced onion and lemon wedge by the side chana
  masala is just awesome
