Potato fry | Allo fry recipe | How to make potato fry recipe


Potato fry recipe: Potato is a versatile vegetable and can be used to prepare many dishes.I also make other potato like allo curry,south indian aloo kurma,biryani.


A simple potato fry is very simple to prepare and makes a Indian meal special lightly spiced with kasoorimethi,red chilly powder,garam masala ,this aloo fry has great taste and flavor goes well with plain rice,tomato rasam and lemon rice,you will love it.

A simple potato stir fry recipe:

INGREDIENTS: (240 ml cup used)

 1 cup cubed potatoes or large potatoes
1/4 cup chopped onion
4 green chilly
1 spring curry leaves
2 tbs kasoorimethi powder
1 tbs red chilly powder
1/2 tbs garam masala
1 tbs coconut powder
1/4 tbs turmeric powder
salt to taste
oil
Tempering- mustard seeds,cumin seeds,chandal,uraddal -2 tbs
2 dry red chilly


STEP BY STEP PHOTOS TO MAKE POTATO STIR FRY:

.Wash potatoes and peel,.cube to small bite sizes.keep them in a bowl of water.


.Heat 2 tbs oil in a pan or tawa add mustard seeds,cumin seeds let them splutter add chana dal,urad  dal,red chilly  saute un till dal  turn brown




.Add onion,curry saute it for 2 minutes add potato peaces mix well place the lid and cook till allo half  cook.





.Now add slitted  green chilly after 2 minutes sprinkle kasoorimethi mix properly after 2 minutes add  red chilly powder,salt,turmeric powder,garam masala,coconut powder fry it in a slow flame for 3  minutes.





.Finally garnish with cilantro,now your tasty aloo fry is ready to serve with rice and chapathi.
