Sanna karapoosa: Sev is a delicious fried vermicelli snack that is made from besan/ gram flour.
The sev is is used in most chaats like Bhel puri, sev papdi puri chaat, adds to the texture and
flavor to the chaats.
A simple sev recipe:

INGREDIENTS:(240 ml cup used)
Chick pea flour/Besan flour - 2 Cups
Turmeric powder 1/4 tbs(optional)
Hing 2 tbs
Salt to taste
Water
Oil for deep fry

1.Take a bowl add chick pea flour, turmeric, salt and hing mix well and add boiled oil 2 tbs
again mix well and add required water and make it into a soft dough.
2.For deep frying heat oil in a pan. Fill the sev dough into the press, Press out thin strands
of the dough into the hot oil.
3.Fry the sev on both sides.Once the sev starts to turn golden,using a slotted spoon drain
excess oil out and place it on a plate.
4.Cool the homemade Sev and store in airtight containers and serve.
